About Me

I’m Ayomide Adeniola, the author of Me, My Mother, My Life: A journey through pain and healing.

The title of the book says it all. It is a one line summary of exactly what it is about. In life we go through valleys and we sometimes end up on the mountain. We have pains, we hurt and we groan at times but if we stay strong we can overcome all. That was what happened to me. I was born not with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I had a pretty good life at the beginning. However, that was not to be for long, things changed. My parents eventually separated.

Mum struggled to look after us and God was really good to her, He helped her succeed in her struggles. It was not easy by any stretch of the imagination but then victory is never easy. The break-up of a marriage can sometimes feel so much like a fall. You can try and pick yourself up as much as possible but when you harbour bitterness, it’s only going to end one way. The pain and bitterness of the past meant Mum forced her children to bear a burden that was meant for the garbage dump. That was until I said enough was enough. I was breaking loose from this negative and repressing soul tie. I broke loose and I felt free and just wanted to share that journey with the world, knowing full well that there are many people like me who are bearing one burden or the other that they need to be free from and can perhaps learn one or two things from my story. The idea of this blog was born in the process of writing the book.

If you will like to know the rest of the story, you can buy a copy of the book (electronic format or paperback) on Amazon, Book Depository, Barnes and Noble, iBook Store and other main retailers.
